This distinctive yet subtle design sits low within Lerwick's civic park.  It acts as a store and a meeting space as well as providing ancillary facilities.  It is frequently used by different groups accessing the park and grounds.

The approach was that of providing a simple, functional design using high quality materials of natural slate and dressed timber cladding.  This resulted in a restrained building which has an architectural quality in its simplicity.
